Pepco Fantasy Football 2013
- I need your input on some rules changes this year.
- What should the regular season tie-breaker be? QB points, RB points, WR points, or total bench points?
- How many divisions? My suggestion is 4, with only division winners going to the playoffs.
- How many slash players?
- Playoff tiebreaker.
- How many total playoff teams?
- How many total league teams? I say let's try to get 14.
- How much for the pot? $150?
I'll weigh in, as always:
ReplyDeleteDecimal point scoring avoids ties almost entirely. In the rare cases a tie may occur, regular season ties stand, playoff ties go to lower seed.
Never saw much point in divisions, it might result in a better team getting left out of the playoffs due to being in a strong division. I would vote one division, top 6 teams advance to playoffs whether 12 or 14 team league.
I like the starting lineups from last year, but with less restrictions on number of WRs, RBs, QBs etc. Last year I think we were only allowed to carry a maximum of 2 QBs, 5 WRs, 5 RBs, etc. If somebody wants to fill up their bench with all WRs, that's their prerogative.
$150's good.
I agree with decimal point scoring but have bench scoring dictate the winner in the event of a tie during the season and playoff tie goes to the lower seed.
ReplyDeleteEliminate divisions and have the top 6 teams advance with a bye for the top 2 seeds.
14 team league is fine.
Starting roster last year was good but I don't want to draft 2 kickers and 2 defenses again. There shouldn't be a cap per position
$150 works
I don't remember if there was a vote on trades last year but I'm in favor of a 50% vote from the league to veto a trade
Scott
Decimal point scoring is not available on ESPN.
ReplyDeleteTo have the lower seed advance with a tie, we could just give a 1 point playoff home field advantage?
I like divisions. In fact I wanted to go to more divisions. Divisions make sense to me sense we can't all play each other the same amount of times. We can vote on it?
Everyone agrees with no player restrictions for the bench.
The trade veto rules have always been allowed. I think you need 3 people to veto to block a trade.
We need everyone's input here so that no one is belly aching after I win.
You can set up decimal scoring, by just setting every 1 passing yard =.04, every 1 rushing/receiving yard = .1
ReplyDeleteIf we have 14 teams, you can play every team once from week 1-13, then playoffs 14, 15, and 16. I just think divisions make the playoff seeding weird, but a vote sounds good to me.
The Champ is here!! I’m ok with 1 total division also. If you have 4 divisions and go by divisional leaders I’m sure one of the better teams will be left out of the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteA decimal point scoring system can help avoid ties, I also like the option of having your bench score breaking a tie also.
I also heard that yahoo league gives you better options with adjusting the scoring system. For example extra points for a 50yd run by a RB or a QB throwing over 400yrds..etc
I like the idea of adding an extra slash player, if we have 14 teams then I think an extra slash will really make a difference and separate the pretenders from the contenders.
6 total teams in the playoffs with the top 2 seeds on bye.(w/12 or 14 teams)
12 teams is good, 14 teams will be tough.
$150 – DON’T MATTER – STRAIGHT CASH HOMIE!!
If we can set up decimal scoring as Brian pointed out, I think that's a good idea. Also bench scoring should be the deciding factor in the event of a tie.
ReplyDeleteI like divisions but I think that we would be better off without them so that better teams don't get left out because they are in a stacked division.
There should definitely be 6 teams in the playoffs with the top 2 seed getting a bye.
We should also get a head count from everyone to see who is definitely going to be playing this year. Once we have that number we can better determine going 12 or 14 teams.
$150 is good. I wouldn't be opposed to upping the pot though.
